We realize that admitting your pet for surgery can leave you feeling nervous or uneasy. This is why we take the time to fully explain the procedure to you, as well as answer any questions that you may have. We promise to be direct and honest with you, in order to make this a pleasant and safe experience for both yourself, and your pet.
Our surgery check-in time is usually 8am-8:30am the morning of surgery. If this time is inconvenient, we are flexible, please ask us about an alternative time. By reviewing the following checklist prior to surgery day, you can help to ensure that we have all the information that we need, in order to make this as timely as possible.
- remove all food after 9pm the night before your pet’s procedure
- remove all water the morning of your pet’s procedure
- review any printed information you may have been given
- write a list of any unanswered questions or concerns you may have and bring them with you to be answered/addressed
- determine if there are any other health procedures your pet requires while in the hospital (anal glands, teeth clean, microchip etc.)
- bring contact numbers of where you will be able to be reached throughout the day
- remember to schedule about 10 -15 minutes for your pet’s surgery check-in
