Pet Cardiology, EKG & Heart Problems
Diagnosis & Treatment for Pets with Heart Problems in Mississauga
Cardiology, the study of conditions of the heart, is an important part of veterinary internal medicine.
A cardiology exam can involve listening by stethoscope for abnormalities in rhythm or sound, blood pressure monitoring, blood evaluation, chest x-rays, electrocardiography (EKG), or echocardiography. Cardiology can also help us to determine congenital (birth) defects, or acquired diseases.
Current research has led to new and excellent drugs and treatments. Early and accurate detection and diagnosis can guide us in providing recommendations for a better quality of life for a pet with heart disease.
For complicated cardiology cases, we will refer you to an excellent board certified cardiologist for the best care possible.
